Paul Rhyne, Co-Founder and CEO

Paul Rhyne is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LumeNXT. Paul is responsible for providing the overall value-based strategy and commercial direction to the current global business unit.

LumeNXT is a privately held surgical device company pioneering the utilization of non-tethered light emitting diode (LED) illumination. Our focus is dedicated to developing minimally invasive, clinically valuable solutions designed to deliver effective illumination to multiple surgical sites in a very safe and controlled manner.

Paul has a strong track record of leadership in the surgical device, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical industry, including international and domestic leadership assignments with top-tier U.S. and European based companies. Paul’s influence on the Company’s vision, purpose, and values has transformed not only its business goals, but how LumeNXT goes about its business. His extensive cross-functional corporate leadership experience will allow him the opportunity to create and launch the solutions needed to propel LumeNXT to the next level. He has a diverse and comprehensive background in developing global strategy, leading commercial teams, and delivering proven commercial success. Paul’s affable, hands on, and integrity driven leadership approach empowers organizations to pursue new levels of revenue growth and profitability beyond what has previously been accepted.

Prior to joining LumeNXT, Paul was with the pre-revenue venture backed startup, Intarcia Therapeutics. While there, he helped develop and optimize the commercial presence of their future commercial sales team. Before Intarcia Therapeutics, Paul spent nearly 12 years with the surgical division of Coloplast where he brought a deep experience across all roles and held key commercial positions of rapidly increasing responsibility. His last position with Coloplast was as the Country Manager for Canada for the surgical business unit where he focused on cross-functional synergies, culturally integrated growth plans, and overall strategic direction.

Paul earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The Citadel. Upon graduation, he received a Regular Army commission as an Infantry Officer and subsequently served with the 82nd Airborne Division.
